About Loriel Hanon

Hi, my name is Loriel Hanon and here is a little bit about my journey into the raw food lifestyle and my weight loss of 86 lbs!

After the birth of my son in 1984 I steadily began to gain weight, and over the course of the next 20 years I went from a slim 110 pounds to my top weight of 224 pounds.  I began to experience increasing health problems that made it very apparent that my health was in a steady decline, and that I needed to take action.

During the summer months in 2004 before I went 100% raw, I was experiencing the following health challenges.

BEFORE RAW
• Chronic Sinusitis
• Recurring Bronchitis
• Irregular Heartbeat
• Elevated Heart Rate
• High Blood Pressure
• Hypoglycemia
• Edema (especially in my legs, feet, and hands)
• Pain in my Feet (so bad that by evening I was limping)
• Chronic, Ongoing Fatigue
• Dry Skin
• Itchy Skin Rashes
• Foot and Toenail Fungus
• Skin Tags and Moles
• Gastric Distress - Including indigestion, heartburn, sore stomach, gas, and bloating.
• Hormonal Issues - Pain over my left ovary, heavy bleeding (sometimes for 30 days at a time)
• Two large lumps over my liver (this really scared me as liver cancer runs in the family)

After 15 months raw, ALL of these conditions had disappeared!!  It is now February of 2008, and I am still %100 raw and feeling great!

Before Raw - September 10, 2004
Age 46

After %100 Raw for 15 months - December 2005

Here I weighed 224 pounds

Here I am 15 months later at 138 pounds!

Year 2008 Update:

On December 14, 2007 I embarked on a 92-Day Juice Feast, consuming 4 to 5 fresh squeezed quarts of greens, vegetable, and fruit juices daily, along with cold pressed oils, bee pollen, and various other superfoods.  On March 14, 2008 I completed my 92 days of juice feasting, and continued on a live/plant based raw diet.  I continue to feel absolutely wonderful.  I look forward to sharing more of my story with you.
